Please note that towels are charged at EUR 2 each. For group bookings of 3 people or more, a refundable security deposit may be required of €25 per person. This is payable on arrival by cash or credit card and is fully refundable on departure, subject to adherence to house rules.

Comfortable hostel, great staff, awesome location
The location is great. It’s less than a 10 minute walk to everywhere you want to go - all the bars & restaurant are 5mins away. The bunks are basic but everything is clean & the beds are comfortable. Breakfast provided is cereal & toast but it’s great. We had an issue of our beds being double booked accidentally but the staff handled it brilliantly and we got moved immediately. They were really helpful and got the issue resolved quickly & continued to check in with us during our stay to make sure everything was alright.
There was a mistake made my staff that caused us to be overbooked so that was not good but it was sorted out quickly.

What was the highlight of The Dawson Hostel Galway
My stay was pleasant and comfortable in nice, clean and convenient accommodation.
The central location was ideal for visiting Galway City, I couldn't fault the staff on anything as they were polite, friendly and very helpful.The kitchen, the breakfast, the rooms and all the facilities were very good for the price and better than some hostels I have stayed in over the years.
I'm not sure I can think of anything!
